This insurance covers vehicles against loss or damage by fire, accident, or theft/or third-party liabilities. Third Party liabilities alone could be covered depending on the scope of cover required.
The cover can be provided on privately used vehicles such as saloon cars and jeeps.
Commercial vehicles e. g. pick Ups, trailers and Lorries and Motorcycle.

There are three types of motor policy namely:
- Private motor e.g., cars and jeeps,
- Commercial vehicle e. g. pick Ups, trailers, and Lorries and
- Motor Cycle.

Types of motor insurance cover
i. Third party only: covers bodily injury and property damage of members of the public
ii. Third party, fire, and theft cover: i above plus fire and theft cover
iii. Comprehensive cover: ii above plus own damage
